Anti-Harassment and Discrimination Policy for Mentor Me Now Foundation


Introduction

The Mentor Me Now Foundation (MMNF) is committed to providing an inclusive and diverse workplace environment free from harassment and discrimination. This policy outlines our commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful workplace and provides guidelines for preventing and addressing harassment and discrimination.


Definition

Harassment is any unwelcome behavior, comment, gesture, or physical contact that humiliates, intimidates, or marginalizes an individual or group based on race, sex, age, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or any other protected class under applicable laws.


Discrimination is any unequal treatment or action based on an individual's membership in a protected class, including hiring, promotion, or termination decisions.


Prevention

  • MMNF provides annual training to employees, volunteers, and Board members on issues related to harassment and discrimination.
  • MMNF prohibits retaliation against any employee, volunteer, or Board member who reports or participates in an investigation of alleged harassment or discrimination.
  • MMNF encourages employees, volunteers, and board members to report any incidents of harassment or discrimination promptly.


Reporting and Investigation

  • MMNF will investigate all reports of harassment or discrimination promptly and thoroughly, and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Anyone who believes that they have experienced or witnessed harassment or discrimination at MMNF is encouraged to report the incident.
  • Reports of harassment or discrimination can be made to the MMNF HR Department or to any MMNF Board member.
  • Reports can be made anonymously, and confidentiality will be maintained to the extent possible.


Corrective Action

  • If MMNF determines that a violation of this policy has occurred, corrective action will be taken, which may include disciplinary action up to and including termination or removal from the Board.
  • Corrective action will be taken promptly and proportionately to the nature and severity of the violation.
  • MMNF will take reasonable steps to prevent future harassment or discrimination from occurring.

Through the implementation of this Anti-Harassment and Discrimination Policy, MMNF demonstrates its commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace environment. It is MMNF's responsibility to ensure that employees, volunteers, Board members, and anyone associated with MMNF is treated with dignity and respect, and given equal opportunities to fully participate in all aspects of MMNF's work.
