1. Purpose and Commitment
Volunteers play a critical role in advancing the mission and impact of Mentor Me Now Foundation. This policy establishes the standards, procedures, and expectations for recruiting, supporting, managing, and recognizing volunteers who contribute to the Foundation’s programs, events, and community initiatives.
Mentor Me Now Foundation is committed to creating a respectful, inclusive, and development-focused volunteer environment where individuals feel valued, supported, and aligned with the organization’s mission.
2. Volunteer Recruitment and Selection
The Foundation strives to build a diverse volunteer network that reflects the communities it serves. Volunteer recruitment shall be conducted in a transparent, equitable, and non-discriminatory manner.

All volunteer applicants may be subject to screening procedures appropriate to their roles, which may include interviews, reference checks, and background checks, particularly for positions involving direct interaction with youth.
3. Orientation and Training
All volunteers are required to complete an orientation and training process prior to beginning service.

4. Volunteer Supervision and Support
Volunteers shall be supervised by a designated staff member or program coordinator responsible for providing guidance, performance feedback, and ongoing support.

5. Performance Evaluation and Feedback

6. Volunteer Recognition and Engagement

7. Volunteer Conduct, Dismissal, and Resignation
Volunteers are expected to uphold the standards outlined in all Foundation policies.
Mentor Me Now Foundation reserves the right to suspend or dismiss volunteers whose behavior:
Volunteers may resign from their role at any time by providing reasonable notice to their supervisor.
When a volunteer’s service ends, staff will ensure appropriate transition of responsibilities to maintain continuity of program delivery.
8. Policy Review and Continuous Improvement
This Volunteer Management Policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure alignment with best practices, legal requirements, and the evolving needs of the organization.
