Hello,
The Mentor Me Now Foundation volunteer section offers opportunities for individuals to become mentors to support and empower the community in their personal and academic growth. As a volunteer mentor, you will have the chance to positively impact mentees' lives by providing guidance, support, and encouragement.
Some of the responsibilities of a volunteer mentor may include:
- Building a trusting and positive relationship with the mentee
- Providing support and guidance in setting and achieving personal and academic goals
- Helping the mentee develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Offering assistance with academic tasks, such as homework or research careers
- Serving as a positive role model and providing encouragement and motivation
Volunteer mentors must commit to regular meetings with their mentees, typically for at least 1-2 hours per week. Mentors must also undergo a screening process, including a background check, and participate in training to ensure they can effectively support their mentees.
If you want to become a mentor with the Mentor Me Now Foundation, please fill out our volunteer application and email it to humanresources@mentormenowfoundation.org. One of our volunteer coordinators will contact you to learn more about our programs and application process. Your dedication and commitment as a mentor can make a significant difference in the lives of individuals, helping them achieve their full potential and succeed in their personal and academic endeavors. Thank you for considering volunteering with us!
